"I didn't create RebuildHer because I had divorce figured out. I created it because I had to learn how to rebuild."
After the end of a 25-year marriage, I found myself facing a life I never expected to be living. For a long time, the questions were about what happened.
How did I get here?
What went wrong?
What happened to my life?
Eventually, another question began to emerge:
What can I build from here and how do I do it?
Those questions changed my journey. I realized I didn't need a complete blueprint for the rest of my life. I needed faith for the next step. I needed wisdom for the next decision, and courage for the next season of my life.
I did the work and began building!
Today, it is my privilege to walk alongside other women as they begin laying their own bricks, building again, and eventually inviting others along on the journey.
RebuildHer isn't only about what we've been through, it's about what we choose to build from it. It's about taking what was meant to break us and allowing God to use it to build something new, a life marked by renewed faith, strength, purpose, and hope.
And when we turn around and help another woman do the same, our rebuilding becomes bigger than our own story.
That's how we rise. That's how we rebuild, and that's how God gets the glory from our new beginning.
From Brokenness to Building
What I needed wasn't someone simply telling me to move on. I needed a blueprint for how to do it!
As I began doing the work in my own life, I realized I wasn't alone. There were other women trying to find their footing after divorce learning how to heal. They needed to rediscover who they were, rebuild trust, deepen their faith, and learn how to move forward into an unfamiliar future.
What I discovered through my own journey was that rebuilding doesn't require having everything figured out. You don't need to know what the finished picture looks like before you begin.
You simply start building with one brick. One decision. One boundary. One act of courage, and One step of faith at a time.
And little by little, what once felt broken begins to become the foundation for something new.
Faith as a foundation for rebuilding
For me, faith doesn't mean having all the answers or knowing exactly what comes next. It means standing in the midst of uncertainty and trusting God anyway. You may not know what your life will look like from here, but you can trust God in the middle of not knowing.
I don't know exactly what lies ahead, but I'm trusting God as I move forward.
My hope is that every woman who comes through RebuildHer discovers that divorce did not erase her identity, cancel her purpose, or place her beyond God's ability to lead her into something new.
Sometimes faith is simply trusting God enough to trust him through the uncertainty.
Beyond RebuildHer: My passions
Beyond RebuildHer, I’m a mother of two and a proud grandmother of two. My family is incredibly important to me and has shaped so much of the woman I am today.
At my core, I have always been passionate about being a bridge for others, helping people cross from where they are to where they desire to be. Whether that means healing, discovering their purpose, achieving success, or finding ways to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, there is something deeply fulfilling to me about helping someone recognize what is possible and giving them the support to move toward it.
I’m also passionate about philanthropy and giving back. I believe success is about more than what we accomplish for ourselves; it’s also about what we are able to pour into others and the impact we leave behind. That same heart is behind RebuildHer. I don't want to simply tell women that there is life after divorce. I want to cheer them as they cross over from uncertainty to clarity, from surviving to thriving.
